Bryanna Marceau, who lives in Bow, relocated to the area 15 years ago after a work opportunity came her way.
“While I grew up close by, I didn’t spend a lot of time coming here when I was younger because we were closer to other cities,” she said. “I quickly fell in love with Concord!”
Now, she serves as the president and CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, so she spends lots of time immersing herself in the many facets of the community.
Marceau recently caught up with Around Concord Magazine and shared some of her Concord highlights.
Around Concord: What do you like most about Concord?
Bryanna Marceau: I love that Concord is a city with a small-town feel. There’s so many people that call Concord home, whether they live or work within the city. There’s a kindness and authenticity here that makes you feel connected, and like you truly belong.
AC: What’s a new local place you’ve recently discovered?
BM: The Black Olive Pottery Studio and Eleventh Letter Writing Gallery are two exciting new additions to our arts community and offer space for people to share with one another and get creative!

AC: Tell us about your favorite places in the area to spend time while you’re not working.
BM: I love to come downtown on a Saturday morning for the farmers’ market, coffee and breakfast. Being able to see a film at Red River Theatres or a show at the Bank of New Hampshire Stage are also on the list of favorite activities.
AC: Any go-to stores for clothes or other fun things?
BM: I’m a big reader, and my favorite store to shop for myself and for gifts is Gibson’s Bookstore. Homebody always feels like a breath of fresh air when you walk in. And I love to shop at the Concord Arts Market.
AC: What’s a local restaurant or dish you haven’t been able to get out of your mind?
BM: I look forward to the food from the Concord Multicultural Festival all year, specifically the Nepali Aloo Dum. As for what’s available year-round, my favorite local dish is the eggplant romano from Angelina’s Ristorante Italiano.
AC: What’s your favorite Concord event?
BM: My favorite Concord event is Midnight Merriment! I love the energy that is infused in the downtown. It’s buzzing with people, music, twinkling lights and a community vibe that reminds you why this city is so special.

AC: Where’s your favorite local outdoor spot?
BM: We have such great parks and walking trails in Concord, it’s difficult to pick just one! But one of my favorite hiking trails is near the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. It’s along the river, and the wildlife there is beautiful.
AC: What do you want to see more of in or around Concord?
BM: We are so fortunate to have such a diverse range of businesses and shops across Concord. I love that our city is becoming such a hub for festivals, and I look forward to some of the upcoming projects that will continue to enhance the nightlife in and around the city.
