Art on Main Street

We’re lucky to have a downtown that’s alive with public art. Outdoor sculptures by local and national artists have added color and curiosity to Main Street (thank you, Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce!)

Gibson’s Bookstore

Simply the best bookstore in New Hampshire! Super staff, great selection (love the art books section!) and community events galore.

Red River Theatres

Where you can see the best films (and enjoy a glass of wine), see artwork in the community gallery, and participate in films and discussions that expand our world!

Winant/Swope Trails

Beautiful trails and views on two of Concord’s favorite parks, and only minutes from downtown.

Must-not-miss events

NHTI’s Dancing with the Concord Stars, January 2020. Also, New Hampshire Humanities’ Ideas on Tap on Jan. 13 at Area 23, which is a very cool spot in Concord.

Rebecca Kinhan is a painter of urban and rural landscapes and a volunteer at the Friendly Kitchen and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. She is communications director at New Hampshire Humanities, and the mother of two grown daughters.
