Ben Normandeau, owner of 603 Bar-B-Q, has lived in Concord all his life. The 26-year-old, who opened his eatery around two-and-a-half years ago, knows the city like the back of his hand. Still, he enjoys discovering new additions to the scene.

“What I like most about Concord is the small town feel with big city characteristics,” Normandeau said. “It feels like everyone knows each other but has also become a spot more and more people are moving to, which has really grown the city.”

Discover some of Normandeau’s favorite places below.

AC: What’s a local restaurant or dish you haven’t been able to get out of your mind?

BN: My go-to store is Viking House downtown! The imported candy makes for great presents as well as delicious snacks. The chocolate-covered bugles are my favorite!ย

AC: Whatโ€™s your favorite Concord event?

My favorite Concord event is the classic Market Days. Growing up here and loving food, this has always been a staple for me. Now that I own a business, itโ€™s really nice to see how much the downtown businesses benefit from this event.
