Foam Roller Techniques Heal Your Muscle Pain We all want to see the most from our workout -- and our life! But when our muscles are knotted and tight, they can't expand and contract efficiently. When there are adhesions in the fascia -- the soft tissue of the body -- the body is less mobile. Tight, knotted muscles and adhesions can lead to a restricted range of motion, triggering compensatory movement patterns creating pain and discomfort. Stretching alone won't resolve these issues; they need to be worked on through massage, either with a trained therapist or through the use of a foam roller. Using the foam roller to break up knots and adhesions is a portable and inexpensive way to feel better while increasing the efficiency of your body and workouts.
