Concord's annual Black Ice Pond Hockey Tournament was held Jan. 23-25. The winners of the fifth year in this tournament in the 18 open were the Mooseknucklers, and team Fubar won the 18 rec division. The Hard Chargers won in Men's 35 A, while in Men's 35 B the Grass Dawgs won. In Men's 50+ the Turkey Pond Flyers won, and The Renegades won the women's division.

Many were lucky to see the Squirts and Mites from Concord's Youth Hockey Organization compete and have a great time. Black Ice benifits the Youth Hockey Program and lowers the cost of equipment and fees so more kids get the opportunity to play. Next year will be the sixth year this event will take place in Concord at White Park. The daily bonfires, fireworks, live music and consessions tent all add up to a great time with friends and family. Don't miss out on this unique gathering that will incorporate the fun of pond hockey and your community while watching your friends and family play.
