What better way to bring the week to a close than by talking like a pirate. Sure, you might confuse - or offend - a few people but that's a small price to pay for a little silliness.

Silliness, after all, is the main selling point for this Beauty of a holiday.

According to Wikipedia, "International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD, September 19) is a parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon,[1] U.S., who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate."

Heading to the bar tonight? Here are a few Pirate pickup lines you might (not) want to try... spoiler alert, the number one pirate pickup line is "Prepare to be boarded"
