Summer is just around the corner and you know what that means…the kids are home from school! This summer, keep your kids busy with these awe-inspiring, educational summer camps. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord is offering a variety of camps starting in July, and open to those ranging from ages 5-17. For the younger ones, peak their interests with the Little Astronaut Camp, for ages 5-7. In this camp, students will have a chance to see what traveling in space is like. This camp also includes take-home projects that will keep them busy at home, while they have fun exploring their creative side.
For those ages 8 and up, the Discovery Center is offering an exciting Rocket Adventure Camp. In this course, students will be able to take home their own rocket at the end of the camp! Or, if your kids can’t get enough of aviation, consider the Aviation Adventure Camp, available to those ages 10-14. This camp includes flight simulators, learning about topographical maps, and airplane models which will teach them more about flight mechanics. This camp also includes an actual flight!
Other camps include the Space Adventure Camp, the Lunar Explorers Camp, and the Teen Night Club, for youngsters aged 13-17. The space for these camps is limited.
